This week several ultra-efficient transportation stories got Inhabitat’s engines running as we watched a custom built Daihatsu Mira EV travel a record-breaking 623 miles on a single charge. I miss those days when you could go to the store, buy a pack of 60- or 100-watt lightbulbs in soft white and be done. Now buying a lightbulb is harder than picking hair color.
